Dr. Kristen Hicks grew up surrounded by horses and dogs and knew from a young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She earned her undergraduate degree from Murray State University in Kentucky and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2011.
Dr. Hicks has special interests in emergency medicine, surgery, and preventative care for both small and large animals. She believes in being honest and transparent with clients and always puts her patients’ well-being first.
When she’s not caring for animals at the clinic, Dr. Hicks enjoys life on her family’s ranch in Comanche County with her husband and two sons. Together, they raise registered Simmental cattle, Quarter Horses, and coastal hay, and love spending time on the ranch with their dogs.
